Sediment traps were deployed at seven different depths (30, 40, 60, 90, 120, 200 and 500m). From each depth, samples for fractionated algal pigments (Chl a and Chl a >10µm), feacal pellets, phytoplankton communities and POC/PON were taken. From 30, 60, 200 and 500m depth, additional samples were taken for stable isotopes, HPLC pigments, IP25, metabarcoding and particulate biogenic silica.

statID: 137 end_date: 2021-09-02 00:00:00 end_time: 20:17:12.715000 fieldNotes: Trap deployment started at 13:10- 13:30 02/09/2021. Smooth deployment through the sediment trap hole which was near (3m) the ice hole and the coring site. 1 gel trap at 5, 10 and 20m. Mooring recovered 02/09/2021 between 19:30 and 19:45 (all times in Bergen times). Current was very weak on recovery, so able to pull up by hand. 2cm of ice formed in hole, despite it being bright sunshine. Still midnight sun. Used metal poles stakes but it was impossible to get them out- poured hot water on them and used ice axes to chip out. Next time use ice screws and a buoy big enough to not fit through the hole. pi_address: UiT- the Arctic University of Tromsø, Mulinbakken 21, 9001 Tromsø start_date: 2021-09-02 00:00:00 vesselName: Kronprins Haakon PeriodOfTime: 6 hours and 15 minutes endDecimalLatitude: 83.8573895333333 endDecimalLongitude: 24.9987284333333
