Application form opens: 14 December 2023
Deadline to submit a proposal: 13 February 2023
Announcement of successful projects: 15 March 2023
Projects must be conducted in 2023, with a final report deadline of 1 December 2023.

- Funding availability

The total available funding in 2023 for this call is 1 000 000 NOK. Project proposals must be submitted by 13 February 2023, and successful projects will be notified by 15th March. We strongly encourage successful applicants to present their project at the SIOS Polar Night Week 2024 (travel support available).

The purpose of the call is to promote more efficient use and better integration of the observing system, SIOS offers funded access to the research infrastructure (RI) owned by its members. Users may also access expertise and logistical support from members of the SIOS consortium.

- Webinars for prospective applicants

SIOS is offering webinars for applicants to the SIOS Access Call. The webinars will be held by our Observing Network Infrastructure Officer, Eleanor Jones, and will contain a brief presentation of the call and the application form, followed by the opportunity to ask questions. If you have specific questions you would like answered you may email them in advance to eleanor.jones@sios-svalbard.org. The webinars will be conducted using Zoom.
