The network of 50 partner institutes will provide access to polar research infrastructures.
1 March, the POLARIN project has its official launch and will for the next five years promote interdisciplinary research that addresses the scientific challenges in both polar regions.
The project is coordinated by the SIOS member Alfred Wegener Institute and has a European Union funding of 14.6 million Euros.
SIOS will lead work package 5 "Implementation of virtual access and improving online services".
