The third ECR observer is ready to join the Remote Sensing Working Group

Zuzanna Swirad will be the remote sensing working group observer for 2022/2023!

She is a physical geographer interested in coastal geomorphology, topographic change detection and spatial analyses. She graduated from the University of Wroclaw, Poland and did her PhD at Durham University, UK (2018) where she studied rocky coast evolution.

She worked as a field oceanographer at the Polish Antarctic Station and has done two postdocs - back in Durham on landslide susceptibility and at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, USA on coastal cliff failure.

Currently she is based at the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw where she works on sea ice remote sensing, nearshore wind wave transformation and coastal processes in Svalbard.
