We have registered your information in order to update you on news of the SIOS consortium, primarily through our newsletter. We may also contact you on an ad-hoc basis to inform you about important events, such as the opening of SIOS calls or events such as the SIOS Polar Night Week.
What information is registered?
We have registered the following information:
- Your email address
- Your name
- How we received your email address (through subscription, application to SIOS calls, participation in working group, etc.)
Where is the information stored?
We use Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, US) to distribute our newsletter. All information is stored in their servers, which may be outside of the EU/EEA (USA). See https://mailchimp.com/help/mailchimp-european-data-transfers/ for more information on Mailchimp and European data transfers.
How was the information collected?
You have been added to our newsletter mailing list either at your own request, or through your involvement in the Preparatory, Interim or Operational Phase of SIOS (e.g. through participation in working groups/committees or submitting applications to SIOS calls etc.).
Consent
Being on our newsletter mailing list implies you give SIOS your consent to contact you with relevant information about SIOS.
If you would like to revoke your consent, please contact the SIOS information officer on information@sios-svalbard.org.
Other information
Your information will be stored at SIOS-KC until such time as SIOS-KC is wound up, or until you request for your information to be deleted from our databases.
