SIOS questionnaire now available for completion
One of the core elements of SIOS will be the SIOS Data Management System (SDMS). The SDMS will be a functionality enabling component of the Knowledge Center supporting data submission, discovery, access, use and preseravtion of SIOS relevant data sets.

From Knowledge to Action - IPY2012
SIOS will be presented during the IPY2012 conference "From Knowledge to Action" that will take place in Montreal, Canada. The conference will be held on April 22 – 27, and the SIOS-presentation will be held on Wednesday 25.

1st SIOS Newsletter published

SIOS is one of the proposals from Norway accepted for the 2008 Roadmap of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI). Until September 2013, the formal and financial framework of SIOS will be worked out in the EC-funded SIOS Preparatory Phase project coordinated by RCN.
